Watts Police Shooting Leads to Arrest

A Watts man was arrested for attempted murder, charged with shooting a police officer.  The man barricaded himself in a home in Watts for several hours after allegedly shooting an officer who survived because he was wearing a bullet-resistant vest.  The accused was booked on suspicion of attempted murder of a police officer, authorities said. He was being held in lieu of $1-million bail.
